Steampunk Goodness
AO (american optical) true vintage 40's safety goggles with pivoting shields and coil temples. Green non prescription glass lens. A steampunk fashion accessory for men and women.

****SOLD****True vintage safety glasses by American Optical, USA. Circa 1940's.  Pivoting pierced plastic shields.  Temples open free and swing around to the front of the frame for folding and storage. This feature allows this pair to be worn by anyone who needs the extra head width back by the ears but not the extra FRAME width in the front. That's a WIN ;)

Original lenses are thick green glass marked AO on each, and there are a few obvious chips on the lenses which can be seen in the photographs.  If you wear contacts, the flaws won't be obtrusive to you.  Lenses can be switched out for new UV lenses of your choice by any willing optician.

Coil temples originally had plastic covers but I removed them because they were unwearable.  The years had dried and cracked them.  New temple covers installed are $25 and in the special instructions of your order tell me what color you'd like. I wlll invoice you separately for the cable covers.

Only one pair of goggles available.
